Our client is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial supplies that has been in business for over 25 years. They produce a range of products for the HVAC, electrical, industrial, and electronics industries, as well as for military applications. They have around 100 employees and are aiming to double their annual sales in the next five years. To achieve their growth targets they are expanding their sales team and looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager to cover the Central Region!
Job Description:
The Regional Sales Manager will be focusing on managing and growing the Central Territory.
- Drive Sales Growth: Travel within the assigned region to develop and maintain distributor relationships, identify new business opportunities, and promote product benefits to achieve sales targets and growth.
- Manage and Support Sales Network: Serve as the primary liaison between the company, independent sales representatives, and distributors, providing training, coordination, and performance oversight to ensure effective sales coverage.
- Report and Analyze Market Data: Provide timely sales activity reports through the CRM system, evaluate market conditions and competitor activities, and present new product/market opportunities to management.
- 3-10 years of regional sales or territory sales experience, with a focus on sales hunting and territory growth.
- Previous experience working in distribution sales environment or for a manufacturer directly
- Experience in the industrial industry such as building supplies, electrical supplies, or similar.
Location: This is a remote, outside sales opportunity covering the Midwest. Ideal candidates will be based in he Greater Chicago, IL area but can be located in any of the following states: IL, WI, IA, MN, SD, ND, NE. Expected travel is 3-4 days a week in the field meeting with customers.
