Company Profile

Our client specializes in providing reliable and efficient electrical and automation solutions for industrial clients. They are a stable, family run business that has experienced double-digit growth over the last 3 years. They are looking for a electrical design engineer to support their customers in pre-sales and post-sales capacity. 

Job Description

• The Design Engineer / Product Specialist will be focused on pre-sales and post-sales product support with the majority of their time spent building schematics and control panel layouts .
• In addition to prototyping, the Design Engineer will need to create documentation and adhere to all regulatory compliance within their designs 
• This role will need to work well with all functional teams, including sales engineers, customer engineers, internal production teams and sales to ensure the accurate and on time product solutions are delivered. 

Requirements:

• 7+ years in an electrical design, sales engineering, automation or similar role, with prototype and design experience  
• Previous experience working with AutoCAD is required. 
• Familiarity with NEC codes and UL requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar  

Location: This role reports daily to an office in the Greater Hartford, CT Area.
